A woman who inspires me is my grandma. She immigrated to the United States at 16 years old with my grandpa and lived in Salinas for over 20 years before getting her green card. She worked very hard, over 10 hours a day while raising my dad and uncle. She stayed strong and determined. She handled her finances well and could retain her old apartment. Now, she is a U.S. citizen and can travel freely to Mexico as per her will. She even gets 3 months of paid leave from her job. She did a lot for us, and everyone is grateful and inspired by her resolve to give a good life to her family.
