One day a baby boy was born into a rich family, on the same day a baby girl was born into a poor family. The rich family made a huge celebration as they had a boy. The poor family were upset at first but later they thought she would make them proud.<\/p>\n
After 16 years. The boy’s father and the girl’s father met at a government office for some
\nregistration. They were talking about their life and families. The boy’s father raised a question :- ” Being a poor family is it not difficult for you to pay for her demands and necessities?” the girl just came there and said that “God
\ngives daughters to only those who are able to”.<\/p>\n
The boy’s father, the rich man, got irritated.
\nAfter 15 years, the girl became an IPS officer! And the boy became a goon. Later on that day the girl caught the boy for an eve-teasing case.
\nThe rich man was shocked to see the girl becoming an IPS officer. He begged the girl to release him. The father of the girl became proud.<\/p>\n
Moral of the story :- Gender is an important consideration in development. It is a way of looking at how social norms and power structures impact on the lives and opportunities available to different groups of men and women. Globally, more women than men live in poverty.<\/p>\n
